CVRT Vehicle Tester/Mechanic

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Commercial Vehicle Tester (CVR Tester) Role. This will be based in our CVR Light Goods Testing Centre at South Douglas Road, Cork. Due to the extension and re-development of this Testing Centre to cope with increased demand we will have a top-class work environment for the successful candidate.

This role is suitable for an ambitious qualified motor technician who has a desire to further their career in one of Munster’s biggest Motor Groups employing over 170 people.

Role and responsibilities

The applicant will be joining out current team of experienced testers.

The suitable applicant MUST have Fetac level 6 Motor Mechanics or equivalent qualification, CVRT testing is carried out to RSA standards, training will be provided if not already authorised.

The applicant must have good computer skills, good communication skills & have the ability to work independently & as part of a team. The suitable candidate will be trained on RSA CVRT training program.

Main duties will be the testing of Light Goods vehicles.

Job description

At Clonmel the location for this role we have franchises for Opel, Renault and Dacia. We also have a busy used vehicle business and an established aftersales department. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced candidate to join our sales team. The successful candidate will be required to work as part of the sales team, to continuously deliver the highest level of satisfaction to our customers, and to continuously strive to meet sales targets and standards through the sales of new and used vehicles, finance products, insurance, warranty and accessories products. The ideal candidate will be an experienced retail car Sales Executive with a proven track record of at least 3 years of selling new and used vehicles.

Duties & Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve volume sales of new & used cars and retain a target margin
  • Use an effective sales processMaximise sales & profitability through customer satisfaction and retention
  • Develop and maintain full product knowledge of all products, accessories, prices and key features of major competitors.

The Required Candidate should:

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced corporate leasing manager to lead our team and drive the success of our leasing business in Ireland. In this key role you will be overseeing and expanding our corporate leasing operations. This is a consultative sales role that requires the candidate to be driven and passionate about retaining, growing and selling to new and existing customers. The candidate must have a natural ability to form and nurture multiple relationships with key stakeholders within each assigned account.

The role involves managing client relationships, optimising fleet utilisation, negotiating contracts and ensuring our leasing services objectives align with the client’s business objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the car industry, a wide knowledge of current industry products and trends, exceptional communication skills and a proven track record of managing corporate clients.

You will be supported by our Group management and Finance team and will report to the Group Directors.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction to the leasing and administration team.
  • Develop and implement Strategies to achieve Revenue and Profit targets.
  • Monitor and analyse Fleet Management, Maintenance and Sales Performance KPIs to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure excellent Customer Service standards are always maintained.
  • Oversee Stock Management and Pricing Strategies.
  • Manage finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and expense control.
  • Recruit, train, and motivate staff to maximize their potential and productivity.
  • Foster a positive work culture and maintain high levels of employee engagement and morale.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within the automotive industry, or related finance role preferably at a senior level or as department manager.
  • Strong understanding of dealership or leasing operations, including Purchasing, Sales, Leasing, Aftersales, Finance and Administration.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and execute effective Sales and Marketing strategies.
  • Solid financial acumen and budget management skills.
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving targets and driving profitability.
  • Knowledge of the Irish automotive market and regulatory requirements.
