The successful candidate will be required to work as part of the sales team, to continuously deliver the highest level of satisfaction to our customers, and to continuously strive to meet sales targets and standards through the sales of new and used vehicles, finance products, insurance, warranty and accessories products.

Duties & Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve volume sales of new & used cars and retain a target margin • Use an effective sales process • Maximise sales & profitability through customer satisfaction and retention • Develop and maintain full product knowledge of all products, accessories, prices and key features of major competitors. • Report to the Sales Manager

The Required Candidate should:

  • Be customer focused • Have excellent communication skills • Be enthusiastic, hardworking and committed to succeeding in a sales role • Have a proven ability to hit and exceed monthly sales targets • A background in maintaining existing customer relationships and developing new contacts is essential • Experience with a leading volume franchise is a distinct advantage

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Commercial Vehicle Tester (CVR Tester) Role. This will be based in our CVR Light Goods Testing Centre at South Douglas Road, Cork. Due to the extension and re-development of this Testing Centre to cope with increased demand we will have a top-class work environment for the successful candidate. 

This role is suitable for an ambitious qualified motor technician who has a desire to further their career in one of Munster’s biggest Motor Groups.

Role and responsibilities

The applicant will be joining out current team of experienced testers.

The suitable applicant MUST have Fetac level 6 Motor Mechanics or equivalent qualification, CVRT testing is carried out to RSA standards, training will be provided if not already authorised.

The applicant must have good computer skills, good communication skills & have the ability to work independently & as part of a team. The suitable candidate will be trained on RSA CVRT training program.

Main duties will be the testing of Light Goods vehicles.

Skills needed

  • Qualified Level 6 mechanic in Motor, HGV, Plant sector
  • Ability to work on own initiative

  • Identifying, ordering, and issuing parts through both the front counter and the workshop.
  • Maintaining and building relationships with trade customers and suppliers.
  • Ensuring all customers and staff are dealt with promptly and courteously.
  • Communicating effectively with other members of the aftersales team to ensure smooth running of the business.
  • Helping to maintain stock at the correct levels and immediately reporting any discrepancies to management.
  • Carrying out other ad-hoc duties as required.

The Role:

  • Book and schedule customer bookings via phone, online, and in person.
  • Meet and greet customers in a friendly, efficient manner.
  • Ensure all customer service details and requirements are accurately captured including adherence to GDPR guidelines.
  • Check for outstanding campaigns on all vehicles at time of booking.
  • Liase with customers and keep them informed on progress while work is being carried out.
  • Price & accurately record electronic vehicle health checks and ensure customers videos are of required quality and are forwarded to the customer. Ensure all additional work is pre-authorised.
  • Constant communication with parts advisor & aftersales manager to ensure smooth running of the workshop & to avoid customer delays.
  • Accurately process invoices and manage work in progress on a daily basis.
  • Carry out vehicle handover with a detailed explanation to the customer of the invoice and work carried out and advise of and plan any future work which may be required.
  • Participate in training as required.
