The LCV test is for: all small goods vehicles with a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of 3,500 kg or less.
All light commercial vehicles must be tested when they are one year old and annually after that. When your vehicle passes the LCV test you get a Certificate of Road Worthiness (CRW). You must have a valid CRW in order to tax your vehicle.
